Add a Blocking Line to a Framing

This function can be used to add a blocking line between joists in the framing over which the joists will continue unbroken. Framing pieces can be added between the joists as shown in the figure below.

Add a blocking line as follows:

1. Select the structure. The structure’s basic layer whose type is FRAMING becomes automatically selected. If necessary, you can select another FRAMING type layer.

   Select a Structure and a Layer

2. Do either of the following:
   • Select Panel | Framing | Framing Gallery Lines.
   • Select Plane Structure | Framing | Framing Gallery Lines.
3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
4. Select Add Blockings.
5. Click the start point of the line.

   

6. Click the end point of the line.

   

7. Select the framing detail.
