Add a Library Component from the Local Archive

General

• The function is only available when Vertex G4 is connected to Vertex Flow.
• The component searched with the function does not have an item associated with it, unless it has been separately associated with the component from the Vertex G4 component database.
• You may want to use the function for components that do not need an item, i.e. components that are props. Or in Vertex G4 Plant, a plant design program, where in some cases the parts list is collected from the model, and not from the item structure in Flow.
• We recommend that named components be stored in Flow and retrieved from there with the function
  • Add > Item or
  • Add > Component.

Add a component from local archive

1. Select the function Assembly | Add > Component from local archive.
   • The program opens the component library of Vertex G4.
2. Continue as described in the instructions Add a Library Component.
