Save a Part in the Component Library

You can save the following as a library component:

Part
Assembly that contains only local parts.

Save the part in the library

In the part model, select the context-sensitive function Save To Library> As Component.
If necessary, create a new folder.
Select the folder in which you wish to save the library component.
Enter the file name.

Click the Save button.

Note:

The default component folder is Shared/components, in which you can save your own library components. You must not change the name of this folder. You can create subfolders in this folder by selecting the Create New Folder function in the Windows Save As dialog box. Note the naming rules Naming a File.
In the folder System/components there are components created by the supplier, which are replaced by new ones when the software is updated.
When saving a library component, the library component's browser image file is also automatically saved, Library Browser Image.
Library components can be edited and renamed in a manner similar to library features.
