Handle Properties Dialog Box
General
- You can access the handle properties by using the context-sensitive function Other Functions > Edit Named Elements.
Handle Properties
- Code
- This field displays the code of the handle that you can change.
- Pipe connection
Select this if you are using piping design (the Vertex G4 option included in the G4 Plant and Piping Design) and want to define the component as a pipe component.- Select the preset button
and select the type of component from the list.
- Select the preset button
- Male
- Depending on the type of the pipe component, you can select a male or female component.
- Female
- Depending on the type of the pipe component, you can select a male or female component.
- Code to isometrics’ connection references
- Select this for the pipe component if you want to add the code to the connection references for the isometric drawings
- Wire connection
- Select this if you are using 3D Electrical Design (Vertex G4 option)
- Formula or value of connection extra length
- Enter the additional length of wire required for the wire component compared to the 3D model where the wire only extends to the handle of the wire component.
- Formula or value of diameter
- Enter or select the wire diameter.
- Search to faces only
- Define the component handle search only for faces
