Line Properties of a Part (3D)

Defines the properties of the line selected from a part. When you change the line properties in the part, the properties of the corresponding line also change in the sketch. Changes made to the properties of model lines remain even if the model geometry is modified later.

  1. Select a line from the model.
  2. Select the context-sensitive function Properties.
  3. Edit the line properties using the selections in the dialog box.
  4. You can also stretch the dialog box in the vertical direction in order to see all the geometric constraints in the list of constraints.
  5. Click OK.

In OpenGL shading, the edges of the faces are drawn using the same properties as before, even if the line properties were changed.

Name
You can name or rename a line using the Change button, if you select only one line from the part.
Name a Part's Element
Layer, Line Width, Line Type, Scale, Color
For some Vertex applications, it must be possible to define the line properties in a certain way.
The editable properties depend on the selected elements. If the selected elements have different properties each other, the field is cleared. If you leave the field empty, the elements keep their different properties. If you select a new property in the field, it will affect to all selected elements.
