Fixing a Profile End to Another Structure

You can fix a profile end to a wall or an area.

  • Fixing a profile end to a wall using a distance constraint. You can, for example, fix a beam crossing a bay window to the side wall using a distance constraint. When the wall moves, the beam also stretches.

  • Fixing a profile end to an area plane. You can fix a profile end to an area plane by forming a connection between the profile end and the plane; see Trimming to Area Plane. The profile end will follow the changes of the area angle as long as the end remains within the area.

Corner trims are automatically fixed to the bottom plane of a roof when you use the Stretch Top to Roof auxiliary function to add corner trims. If the height or angle of the roof changes, the corner trims will follow the change.
