Sketch Connection Data

General

  • The dialog box is related to the context-sensitive function Relocate.
  • Relocate a Feature
  • This dialog box is ignored in the Relocate function if the sketch is constrained to default planes.

The content of the dialog box depends on which elements you have selected when you make a new sketch.

  • Left: The sketch is made on the face of geometry.
  • Middle: The sketch is made either with a line and a point or with three points.
  • Right: The sketch is made using a face and a point.
  • The image is missing an example where the sketch is made on a line.

Dialog Box Options

Face
Select Face from the dialog box list to constrain the sketch to a new face.
  • The constraint face of the sketch is highlighted with a red color in the part.
  • The new constraint face must be of the same type (plane, cylinder…)
Click the new face to which the sketch is constrained.
Line
Select Line from the dialog box list to constrain the sketch to a new line.
  • The constraint line of the sketch is highlighted with yellow color in the part.
Click a new line from the geometry of the part.
Point (Origin)
Select Point (Origin) from the dialog box list to constrain the origin of the sketch to a new point.
  • The origin point of the sketch is highlighted with yellow point in the part.
Click a new origin point from the geometry of the part.
Point (X-dir.)
Select Point (X-dir.) from the dialog box list to constrain the X direction of the sketch to a new point.
  • The direction point of the X axis of the sketch is highlighted with yellow point in the part.
Click a new X axis direction point from the geometry.
Point (Plane)
Select Point (Plane) from the dialog box list to constrain the direction of the sketch plane to a new point.
  • The point describing the direction of the sketch plane is highlighted with a yellow point in the part.
Click the new direction point that defines the plane from the geometry.
Change
The function starts the replacement of the selected element with another corresponding element.
