Copy a Part in an Assembly

General

• The function is used to copy parts within the same assembly to a new location.
• The function is almost parallel to the function pair Clipboard > Copy and Clipboard > Paste, but in this function a reference point is assigned to the part from where it is placed in a new location.

Copy a part to a new location

1. Select a part or parts.
   • Hold down the Ctrl key if you select more than one part.
2. Select the context-sensitive menu function Copy.
   • The program prompts you to select a reference point.
3. Click the point from which the part or parts to be copied "hang".
4. Click a location or multiple locations for the copy.
5. Stop adding copies
   • Select another function or
   • Press the middle mouse button or
   • Press the V key or
   • Press the Esc key or
   • Select the context-sensitive function OK.
