Rotate a Part in an Assembly
This function can be used to move the selected part, component or subassembly in an assembly. You can perform the rotation with a positive or negative angle value.
- Select a part, component or subassembly.
- Select the context-sensitive function Rotate.
- Indicate the axis, in relation to which the part will be rotated. Select either of the following:
- Rotation Axis Line
- Rotation Axis Start Point and End Point
- The program opens the dialog box Rotation angle.
- Define the value for the rotation angle.
The default angle value is 0, and the angle strain total. 0.
- Select OK.
- The program rotates the part to the given position.
- The title of the dialog box shows the value of the rotation angle relative to the original value.
- If you would like to rotate the part more, specify the change in the rotation angle. The angle value can be positive (+) or negative (-). The angle value is added or subtracted.
- In the dialog box heading, you can see how many degrees you have rotated the part in total, in relation to its original position.
- Click OK to accept the rotation angle when the input field in the dialog box is set to 0 (zero).
