Shell Feature Data

Define the wall thickness inside or outside the part.

Dialog Box Options

Value

Defines the value of the wall thickness. The wall is added either inside or outside of the edge.

• Select In when you add a wall so that the edge line of the selected surface is set as the outer edge of the wall. Image A.
• Select Out, and the edge line of the surface will be set as the inner edge of the wall. Image B.

A wall thickness defined using the In button will be displayed in the dimension table as a negative value.

Formula

Defines the wall thickness as a variable.

Face1, etc.

List of elements, based on which the feature is created. You can view and edit the selections before confirming the data.

Apply

Preview by clicking the Apply button in the dialog box. This will show you how the model would look if you confirmed the feature data by clicking OK. If necessary, you can still edit the feature data.

Add

Select more surfaces to the list of surfaces to be penetrated.

Change

Replace the selected permeable surface with the new permeable surface you specified.

Delete

Remove the selected permeable surface from the list.
