Thread Data

This function can be used to define the properties of a thread, including standard, type and dimensions. Define the thread properties in the dialog box.

Dialog Box Options

Thread standard

Defines the thread standard: ISO-thread SFS 4495, Pipe thread SFS ISO 228/1, SFS ISO 7/1, UNC thread SFS B.I.41, UNF thread SFS B.I.42 or Whitworth- thread DIN 11. Click the radio button of the thread standard.

Type

Defines the type of the thread as Inside or External.

Dimensions

Defines the diameter, depth, and pitch of the thread. Select the diameter and pitch values in the field. Enter a value for the thread depth. The diameter and length of the cylinder selected from the model are displayed at the bottom of the dialog box.

Formula

Defines the diameter and pitch of the thread as a variable.

Through

Specifies the thread to extend through the hole or the entire length of the pin. The thread feature extends over the entire length of the cylinder surface. The thread extends through, even if the dimensions of the volume change.
