Edit a Feature Pattern
Edit the properties of the feature pattern, the geometry of the parent feature, and the geometric constraints of the feature pattern sketch.
The features belonging to the same feature pattern are highlighted with the same color in the feature tree of the part when you click the Feature Pattern symbol.
Edit the feature pattern and its sketch
- Edit the pattern one of the following:
- Double-click the Feature Pattern symbol in the part's feature tree. If the parent feature is formed from more than one feature, the other features belonging to the same feature pattern are highlighted in the feature tree of the part with a color, but you can select feature pattern editing for only the first feature belonging to the pattern.
- Select to the the feature pattern belong feature surface from the part, and select the context-sensitive function Edit Pattern.
- Edit the feature pattern one of the following:
- Edit the feature properties in the dialog box.
- Edit the feature pattern sketch.
- Select Confirm.

Edit the geometry of the features in the feature pattern
- Select the geometry to edit.
- Edit the parent feature so that you double-click the feature symbol in the feature tree, or move the cursor onto to the feature symbol, and select the context-sensitive Edit Feature.
- If the parent feature is formed from more than one feature, edit the geometry of one feature at a time.
- Edit the Feature.
- Edit the feature properties in the dialog box.
- Select a new size for the library feature from the dimension table.
- Select OK.
In the example image, the diameter of the parent feature has been modified to be smaller.
